Here are some specific suggestions: The Learning Objectives show what you should learn through the lesson. What you can't learn from the other materials offered here, you should dig out for yourself on the Web, using the search box provided at the bottom of this page. The lesson Summary, or lesson outline, provides a lot of important factual material. This is one of the most informative parts of the lesson. Plan to spend a lot of time taking notes from here and expanding your understanding with some Web research. The PowerPoint Presentation also outlines the content of the lesson. They, too, can be a rich source of information and springboard to more online study. The Flashcards can be helpful for mastering new terms. Some learners find them beneficial, other do not. Use the Pre-Test and Post-Test to check your understanding of the material and a source of ideas to pursue with further Web searching. Your score is virtually meaningless, so don't waste your time in any obsolete effort to get a "good grade." It is sometimes totally impossible to answer a question because it refers to a specific figure or table in the textbook (which you presumably don't have).
