far as the psychology of children is concerned, they
were once believed to be little more than
smaller-size adults. Developments in the 20th
century—largely the work of Jean Piaget—showed that
the thought processes of children are quite
different from those of adults. Today, child
psychology is not only a respected part of general
psychology, but a key player in human life stage
psychology.
