Taken alone, European History has nominal value as a career asset. Its value is greatly magnified, however,  when it is bundled with other stronger subjects such as World History, Western History, European languages and cultural studies, European Literature, and Sociology.

Of course there are professional historians, mostly history teachers. History studies have relatively high career asset value as a wrapper for critical research and thinking skills that apply to a broad spectrum of  seemingly unrelated career descriptorsbusiness, public service, law, authors, literary agents, film critics, to name just a view
