Optometric Technology
A career advisory
Optometric technology is one of a relatively few
technology occupations one can enter with no more
than a high-school diploma or GED. This is not
to suggest that it is the best way to enter the
profession, however. An associate's degree in
any technical area and board certification is the
ideal way to enter the profession. But .. hey. Start
working for an optometrist out of high school, get
some on-the-job experience and do the additional
education in the evenings.
