Medical ethics is a system of moral
principles that apply values and judgments to the
practice of medicine. As a scholarly discipline,
medical ethics encompasses its practical application
in clinical settings as well as work on its history,
philosophy, theology, and sociology.Medical
law is the branch of law which concerns the
prerogatives and responsibilities of medical
professionals and the rights of the patient. It
should not be confused with medical jurisprudence,
which is a branch of medicine, rather than a branch
of law.
