You train monkeys, horses and dogs, but you must educate human beings.

Skill trades and the transportation industries were among the hardest hit during the recent global recession. Many companies, as well millions of skilled workers, have not fully recovered; and some will never find their way back to the "good old days."  The world is changing an a breakneck pace, and the skill trades and transportation businesses are in the forefront. Survival todayand into the futuredepends on one's own ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome. And that's what this college is about.

The College of Skill Trades & Transportation includes the largest amount of skill-oriented educational opportunities available at Free-Ed.Net.  The material is intended for professional or pre-professional learners. For example, if you need to know how to fix a toaster or build a window box, we suggest searching the many excellent how-to websites. But if you are anticipating a career such as construction or carpentry, this is the right place to learn fundamental principles that simple know-how and hand-me-down "common sense" rarely achieve.
