case 15 Pre-Calculus courses are intended to bridge the
gap between algebra and calculus. This is a vital
transition period for many students, because it
represents a change from a subject that can be
passed by merely memorizing algebraic algorithms to
one where the student is challenged to actually
plan, test, and execute solutions. Those students
who have managed to substitute test-passing skills
for actual analysis and analytical thinking at the
lower levels of math find pre-calculus and calculus
especially challenging.
The School of Pre-Calculus is divided into three
departments: Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, and
Geometry.
