Welcome to the College
of Education at Free-Ed.Net
This college is all
about learning and helping others learn
how to learn. The underlying theme is
that a good teacher is, first of all, a
passionate learner.
|
Much education today is
monumentally ineffective. All too often we are
giving young people cut flowers when we should be
teaching them to grow their own plants. -- John
W. Gardner

Special-Needs Learners
There are some differences of opinion about who
and what should be included under the banner of
"special education." At Free-Ed.Net, the term
applies to the education of young people who
demonstrate an inability to learn and interact their
with peers and teachers according to commonly
accepted standards.

 |
Gifted Learners
At Free-Ed.Net, we regard "gifted" children as
those who seem to have an innate ability to learn,
and a curiosity about the world around them, and a
drive to express their perceptions in highly
creative ways.
