2000 is designed to introduce you to the basic features of PowerPoint 2000 for
Windows 95 and Windows 98. The lessons include practice exercises to work through as well
as examples for creating documents in your work. Lesson 1 introduces the fundamentals of using PowerPoint. It
introduces the Office Assistant, covers applying design templates, entering text in the
outline mode, selecting slide layouts, saving, viewing your presentation, and using the
AutoContent Wizard.
Lesson 2 addresses editing text, adding, moving and
deleting slides, and using the Slide Sorter view. You'll also explore printing options,
learn to add text boxes and lecture notes, and change features like text size and object
placement.
Lesson 3 shows you how to add clip art and other
objects to your presentations. You will learn how to customize slide backgrounds. You'll
also learn how to access a huge clip art collection on the World Wide Web.
Lesson 4 explores creating charts and graphs, and
covers adding special characters, like scientific or mathematic symbols to your slides.
Lesson 5 teaches you how to convert a PowerPoint slide
show to HTML for publication on the World Wide Web and covers adding hypertext links to
your PowerPoint presentations.
Lesson 6 covers text transfer between Word and
PowerPoint, creating a stand-alone slide show, hiding slides, and using transitions and
build effects in slide shows. and three helpful writing tools. It also includes tips for
